For beginning players once a year is sufficient. More advanced or professional players need a rehair anywhere from every 6 months to every few weeks.
Violin/Viola are $65.00. Cello is $70.00. Bass is $75.00.
Depending on workload for that day, most rehairs can be completed in 2 hours or less.
Each full restoration is a completely custom job and will need to be inspected in person for a full quote.
A full restoration can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days. An accurate time frame can be given once the bow is seen in person and a quote is given.
Your bow may need a new eyelet or the hair has stretched out too much. If a new eyelet is needed you'll often hear a clicking sound when you try to tighten the screw.
I'll be happy to loan you a bow if you have to wait more than a couple hours for your bow to be completed.
